Multiple police departments across DuPage County are about to get locked into a shared records system, and Tuesday’s meeting is where the legal framework for that gets its first real public airing.
Short agenda. Four items. But two of them actually matter.
🔦 The 3 items worth your attention
The biggest one is the intergovernmental agreement. The committee is up for consideration of a resolution that would let the County Board enter into a formal pact with local government units to jointly run a shared Police Records Management System (6-A). That means shared responsibility, shared data access, and shared costs, though exactly how those costs split isn’t spelled out in the agenda itself. If you’re a resident of one of the participating municipalities, this is the document that determines how your local agency’s police data gets managed and who else has a hand in running it.
Then there’s the Mark43 contract discussion. Mark43 is the software provider powering the whole system, and the committee plans to talk through where that contract currently stands (8-A). No dollar figure on the agenda, no action item listed. It’s framed as a status check, but a vendor contract discussion without a clear resolution sometimes means complications are in the room even if they’re not on the paper.
The FY2027 budget presentation rounds out the substantive items (7-A). Participating governments will get a look at what the shared system is projected to cost next fiscal year. It’s a presentation, not a vote, so no decisions get made Tuesday. Still, if you’re curious what your local police agency is on the hook for, this is the meeting where those numbers surface.

Nothing here. This committee’s scope is the records system, not infrastructure.
💰 Where the money’s going
No dollar figures appear in this agenda. The FY2027 budget presentation may reveal specific figures Tuesday, but none are published in the packet.
