City Commission Committeeofthe Whole · 2026-09-21

One item. That’s the whole agenda this week: a staff briefing on Blueprint for Peace, Kalamazoo’s community violence-reduction program.

No votes are scheduled. No contracts, no zoning, no dollar amounts. The commission is gathering to hear where the program stands.

Blueprint for Peace is the city’s public-safety initiative aimed at reducing community violence. Staff will walk commissioners through a progress update on how the program is running. It’s a briefing, not a decision point, so there’s nothing to act on coming out of the room, just information going in. (F-1)

Because this is a single-item informational session with no contracts, no property actions, and no spending items on the agenda, there’s no “Roads & property” section and no “Where the money’s going” section this week.

Also notable: Nothing else is on the agenda.

Public comment is typically available at the start of the meeting. Check the city’s website at kalamazoocity.org or call the City Clerk’s office to confirm comment procedures and the meeting location. The Committee of the Whole meets September 21, 2026.
