This one’s short. Two items, one of which is minutes from July.
The SECA Commission meets Tuesday with essentially a single substantive item on the table: an open discussion of community arts topics. No dollar figures, no contracts, no votes on anything consequential. The agenda lists it simply as “community arts topics before the SECA Commission” with no further detail, which means either a lot will get figured out in the room or Tuesday’s meeting wraps up in twenty minutes.
Because there’s genuinely nothing here that clears the bar for the spotlight sections, the usual format doesn’t apply. What follows is what the agenda actually contains.
The one item that matters (E-1): The commission will discuss community arts matters. No specifics are provided in the agenda packet, so anyone with a stake in Naperville’s arts funding or programming would do well to show up and listen, or speak during public comment.
D-1 is minutes from July 15. Routine.
📌 Public comment: The meeting is Tuesday, August 19, 2026. Check the City of Naperville’s website at naperville.il.us for the meeting time, location, and instructions on how to sign up for public comment before the session.
