Five different district courts are all getting new three-year security agreements on the same day. That’s the shape of this agenda: less about big dollars, more about a lot of programs being updated, extended, or handed off to the full Board.
The 3 items worth your attention
The committee will take up the FY 2027 Local Health Department Comprehensive Agreement from the state (10-a). This is the grant that funds the county health department’s core public health services, vaccinations, disease surveillance, maternal health, the works, for the coming fiscal year. It goes to the full Board if the committee moves it forward.
Paired with it is the FY 2027 Emerging Threats Agreement, also from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (10-b). That one specifically covers the county’s capacity to respond to infectious disease outbreaks and similar public health emergencies. Two separate grants, two separate items, same department, same meeting.
The Co-Responder Program gets its first formal multi-year extension (13-d). The current agreement pairs mental health clinicians with Sheriff’s deputies on crisis calls; this amendment stretches that arrangement through FY 2029 with Oakland Community Health Network. The committee will also see a Q2/Q3 performance report on the same program (8-b), so commissioners get the accountability data and the renewal question on the same agenda.
Roads & property
Nothing on this agenda touches roads, zoning, or property.
Where the money’s going
No dollar amounts are listed for any item on this agenda. Every grant and contract item is silent on specific figures in the source material.
